In good condition with no chips or cracks. The bottom of the base has a few surface scratches.

Blue and Amber Monolith vase designed in 1958 by Pavel Hlava for Egermann Exbor of Czechoslovakia.

This Vase is made up of cobalt blue and deep amber glass cased in clear glass which has then been hand cut and polished to create its sharp lines and distinctive shape.

Pavel Hlava (1924 – 2003) was one of Czechoslovakia's most influential glass designers and responsible for a wide range of vibrantly coloured free blown glass designs. In 1967 he taught at the Royal College of Art in London.
